Role Overview:
This role drives growth and innovation in the precast concrete sector across the U.S. and Canada. Key responsibilities include developing growth strategies, leading Sector Sales Specialists, managing key national customers, and introducing new products. It fosters collaboration between sales teams, supports customer trials, and uses tools like Salesforce to track opportunities. As the technical expert, the role resolves challenges, supports innovation, and ensures tailored solutions. Additional duties include leading training, staying ahead of industry trends, representing the company in forums, ensuring quality compliance, and promoting sustainable concrete solutions to strengthen market leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive Growth within Precast Sector:
  • Drive growth opportunities across the United States and Canada through our network of concrete industry contacts, customers, sales representatives and new business prospects
  • Lead efforts to develop and execute MBS strategies across all precast concrete sectors.
  • Lead and direct the Sector Sales Specialists to execute growth strategies primarily within the Structural and Utility precast sectors.
  • Assist with developing comprehensive plans for the introduction of new products into the precast sector.
  • Primary point of contact within business for Key National Customers
2. Ensure Collaboration Across Sales Teams:
  • Drive strong collaboration between the Sector Sales Specialists and the local territory sales teams .
  • Assist with opening the doors to unsold customers and assist with testing and industrial trials to increase our market share.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Management to support RFPs with large national customers.
  • Utilize Salesforce for tracking and reporting growth opportunities for new business.
3. Provide Technical Support:
  • Primary technical support expert within business for the precast sector to assist with innovation projects, customer trials and training
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues related to applications within precast concrete production facilities.
  • Collaborate with customers to address specific challenges and tailor solutions to their needs.
4. Lead Knowledge Sharing and Training:
  • Primary point of contact to provide voice of customer for the precast concrete sector.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate internal teams and customers on the benefits and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in precast concrete technology and share knowledge within the organization.
  • Lead and direct business participation in appropriate industry associations and forums to learn about the needs and trends of the precast concrete industry
5. Other Duties:
  • Help demonstrate and create value through innovative and sustainable concrete admixture solutions
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the development and application of product portfolio
  • Implement and comply with company initiatives, policies and procedures
Knowledge and Experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, additional experience in lieu of education will be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience within the precast concrete industry
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in account management and sales, with a demonstrated history of closing new business and driving technology
  • A strong understanding of the key drivers within the precast concrete industry (precast specific experience preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete mix designs, concrete admixtures and fibers is required
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate financial and market analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently (50% ) to customer production facilities.
