The hiring range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00. Dependent on experience.
Material Movement
- Effectively identifies raw materials and bin locations
- Rotates material appropriately to ensure oldest material utilization first 5
- Reliably meets deadlines.
Accuracy
- Correctly identifies material on pull list and material movement forms
- Accurately fills out requisitions and Material Movement Forms (MMF’s) and distributes items to production employees or assembly line.
Safety
- Uses appropriate safety equipment
- Maintains clean work areas and removes unsafe items from work areas
- Safely and efficiently operates forklift, overhead crane, and material cart to transport materials/item
Competency
- Has a clear understanding of the position
- Demonstrates proficiency in the common and technical knowledge areas required for the position
- Reads production schedules and determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Exhibits strong judgement and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Read production schedules or work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fill requisitions and Material Movement Forms (MMF’s) and distribute items to production workers or assembly line as needed.
- Record quantities of materials/items received or distributed.
- Maintain inventory and MMF records.
- Place all Branch orders on pallets for conveyance to Service Department.
- Label materials with identifying information as needed.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers as needed.
- Weigh and/or count materials/items for distribution within the facility to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Distribute and arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by factory associates.
- Enter necessary records into proper computer system.
- Drive warehouse vehicles to transport materials/items from the warehouse to the factory.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide a great deal of attention to detail.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Lift raw materials up to 51 pounds.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills for this Position:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and work orders.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs to maximize effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.).
- Deftness and attention to detail.
- Activities require full range of body motion –handling and lifting materials.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team.
- Willing to work 40 hours weekly.
Requirements:
- Position requires standing, bending, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, and lifting throughout shift.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
- Random drug testing required after employment.
