Unarmed Security Officer - Morning Shift

Security Guard Position

Join our team as a security guard and work alongside other dedicated staff members. The post location and schedule are consistent and do not change.

Work Days & Hours:

• Monday to Thursday 6:00AM-2:00PM (32 hours/week)

We are currently hiring and invite you to be available for an online video interview on the same or the next day after applying.

Responsibilities:

• Shelter Entrance Monitoring: Control and authorize the entry and exit of visitors, guests, employees, partners, and vendors through the main entrance, the only permitted access point.
• Bag & Person Screening: Conduct thorough searches of participants and their belongings upon entering the shelter to ensure safety and security. Treat every participant with dignity and professionalism during the screening process.
• Premises Patrol: Regularly patrol the premises to detect and prevent signs of intrusion, maintain facility security, and report any necessary incidents.
• Shelter Safety: Observe and ensure safe operations within the shelter during patrols. Report and address any spills, unsafe conditions, or defective equipment. Monitor clients, perform dorm and perimeter patrols, and assist clinical and case management staff as needed.

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
