Job Summary
Master Lee’s World Champion Taekwondo is seeking a passionate and responsible Part-Time Taekwondo Instructorto join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Black Belt and have experience working with children in a structured, energetic environment. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching martial arts, enjoys working with youth, and is committed to student development and safety. Long-term team members preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and structured Taekwondo classes for children and youth.
- Assist with curriculum-based instruction including basic techniques, poomsae, and self-defense.
- Encourage student growth through positive reinforcement and clear communication.
- Ensure a safe and respectful training environment at all times.
- Support class management and discipline with consistency and professionalism.
- Serve as a role model, demonstrating courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and self-control.
- Collaborate with masters and fellow instructors for events, testing, and team meetings.
Requirements
- Black Belt (1st Dan or higher) in Taekwondo (Kukkiwon certification preferred).
- Teaching or leadership experience in a martial arts or youth development setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with children of all ages.
- Passionate about martial arts, with a desire to inspire and mentor students.
- Responsible, punctual, and committed to long-term growth with the school.
- Availability: Monday to Friday (4 PM – 8 PM) and Saturday (9 AM – 1 PM).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
