What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Manager position at Master Maintenance?
Master Maintenance is looking for a Full-Time Area Manager to lead our janitorial teams! The Area Manager will oversee the day-to-day duties and responsibilities for a group of locations. This position will be responsible for training and ensuring that all janitorial staff perform proper routine cleaning of job sites; solve problems and staffing vacancies; assist in assigning work schedules and in coordinating special cleaning jobs.
This position is responsible for managing our team with focus on providing the highest quality of service in our industry while creating a positive relationship with our employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct division operations to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract specifications.
- Continually evaluate procedures, methods, and materials for purposes of improving performance and reducing cost of operation.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a clean and operable condition.
- Assure the availability of equipment, supplies, and materials in quantities required for company operations, at an economical cost
- Implement approved operating policies, methods, and procedures.
- Develop and train subordinate supervisors and employees.
- Make recommendations concerning adjustments in contractual arrangements based on operational need.
- Insure the proper handling of customer complaints.
- Setting clear expectations with team members
- Perform such other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in the janitorial industry
- 2 years in a supervisor/management position
- Flexible schedule
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
