About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Mold Designer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in the development and execution of mold designs to meet our clients' specific needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of VISI software, combined with a proven track record in mold building or design. This role requires exceptional communication skills, as the designer will be the mediator between customers, program managers, and the production team, ensuring clarity and precision in the execution of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop injection molds using VISI software, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Analyze and interpret customer requirements to create functional and cost-effective designs.
- Proactively communicate with customers, program managers, and internal teams to clarify design intents and deliver comprehensive reports on project statuses.
- Prioritize tasks and manage workload independently, aligning job queues according to importance and deadlines.
- Attend production meetings to provide updates on design progress and timelines.
- Review and critique outsourced designs to ensure they meet our specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize strong self-management skills to oversee the full lifecycle of mold design projects, from conception through to completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mold building, mold design, or a combination of both.
- Proficiency in VISI software is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers, program managers, and production staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capability to work independently, manage one’s workload, and deliver reports on project statuses.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate actively in production meetings and contribute to the team's success.
- Local candidates are strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
