What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Profit Driver position at MASTER PROVISIONS INC?
The Non-Profit Driver (NPD) is an hourly position at Master Provisions (MP). The NPD is primarily responsible for driving and assisting the Managing Director (MD) with assigned tasks to strengthen the Operations team. The NPD schedule is flexible to meet the needs of the ministry. The NPD ensures that all aspects of his/her job performance are consistent with MP’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of operations and transportation work.
- Good listening, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience within the industry or as a driver of non-CDL trucks.
- DOT Medical Card
- CDL-A would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be insurable
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Handle day-to-day tasks assigned by the MD.
- Assist in the maintenance and coordination of warehouse activities.
- Work with the Program Manager (PM) and Warehouse Manager (WM) to coordinate pickup and delivery of local donations and other projects as needed.
- Load and unload trucks according to donor requirements including moving pallets, skids, boxes, and other product
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull, up to 75 pounds, repeatedly and multiple times a day
- Serve as an ambassador for MP by asking for physical and spiritual support, i.e., engagement in prayer, volunteerism, in-kind donations, and financial support.
- Work to build a strong Christian culture focusing on collaborative partnerships.
- Perform other duties as determined by the MD.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Attend weekly Monday staff MPower Up meetings.
- Attend weekly Wednesday Operations meetings.
- Work up to 40 hours per week, most of the typical day will be spent in a truck picking up donations or providing logistical support for our partners.
- Flexible scheduling with MD.
Salary : $17 - $22
