Masterson Staffing in partnership with our NEW client located in Shakopee, MN are in search of dedicated customer service representatives to start IMMEDIATELY!
This is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
JOB PURPOSE
Provide optimum level of customer service by communicating with customers in an efficient, courteous
manner to create and maintain good customer relations in accordance with company policy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regular & consistent attendance.
- Process orders by accurately keying required data into computer, taking information in person, over the telephone, by fax, e-mail, asking appropriate questions, determining method of payment & processing payment, shipment, e.g., LTLs, Freight Free and coordinating pickup point shipments.
- Process new contracts by recording required information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keep updated on knowledge of Marketing and Management plan, current promotions, company programs, and new products by reading applicable literature and attending appropriate meetings.
- Provide information on distributor inquiries and/or resolve distributor problems by discussing with staff in all appropriate departments and responding in a timely manner.
- Run beginning and end of day reports; daily mid-day backup and weekly backup reports by entering appropriate information into computer.
- Verify all open/work orders by carefully reviewing the Order Status Report weekly, researching and verifying any discrepancies.
- Facilitate shipments of backorders by reviewing and processing Back Orders regularly.
- Assist customers and answer questions regarding methods of shipment by keeping current on all freight programs, e.g., UPS, Common Carrier and Pickup Points.
- Process Return Authorization forms on all product returns by routing paperwork to appropriate departments; maintain a copy in the Distribution Center files.
- Assist the Warranty Department by completing all paperwork and making shipping arrangements for all replacement claims.
- Answer questions regarding methods of payment by having a complete understanding of all finance programs available, e.g., Building Products Credit Program, LOC, and the Marketing and Management Plan.
- Facilitate paperwork by completing all department paperwork, forms and maintaining the filing system as needed.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
May perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISON AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities. Under minimal supervision. Establish and maintain interpersonal skills to ensure positive attitude and productive working relationship with co-workers, all departments and the field.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
1. Requires high school diploma or GED.
2. Minimum of 0-3 years Customer Service related experience.
3. Must possess excellent interpersonal, team building, customer service, and telephone etiquette skills; detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritizing capability.
4. Familiar with a PC, average typing skills and working knowledge of calculator, copier and fax machines.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work and interact with many different people, both external and internal; maintain calm under pressure; effectively manage interruptions and deal with difficult customers; ability to speak clearly on the telephone.
Must be flexible with work schedule.
Normal physical and office environment
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM (Mandatory overtime may be required depending on call volumes)
