Overview:
- The Operations Manager will oversee our recycling facility's day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in waste management, logistics, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
General Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of mattress recycling operations, including collection, processing, and material recovery.
- Lead and manage a diverse team of operators and staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, fostering a culture of safety among employees.
- Manage inventory levels of incoming mattresses and outgoing materials, ensuring timely processing and shipment
- Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure that recycled materials meet industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, documentation, and compliance records as required.
- Work closely with external partners, including waste management companies, retailers, and community organizations to promote mattress recycling initiatives.
Competencies:
- 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in waste management or recycling required.
- Ability to assist in machinery maintenance required.
- Proven leadership and team management skills required.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Conversationally fluent in Spanish (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
