Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing integrated and initial consult assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family therapy using best-practice approaches. You will work closely with primary healthcare providers to recognize and treat psychiatric disorders and psychological problems within your scope of licensure. Additionally, you may provide referrals to Behavioral Health Services for longer-term treatment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Provide evidence-based therapies, including individual, group, and family sessions, to promote positive behavioral changes.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to identify and address underlying mental health issues.
- Make referrals to specialized services when necessary to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements and Qualifications
- LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure in the State of Alaska.
- A minimum of two years of experience providing direct counseling services.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR software and Microsoft Office applications.
