Job title : INFINERA Gx Professional Services Engineer
Duration : 6 months
Location : Remote
Rate : $85 - $88 / hr W2
Remote position with 20-30% travel (travel to Texas, Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana and Michigan)
- In depth knowledge of Gx portfolio G30, G31, G32 and G42 system architecture, signal flow, DWDM / ROADM / CDC functional blocks and supported configurations
- In depth knowledge of SW / FW release lineups, element management system and network management system
- Expertise in reading Network Planning tool design, layouts and configurations
- Handson expertise in GX commissioning, provisioning and OAM&P (operations, admin, maintenance and provisioning)
- Proficient with automated NEAT tool G30 v3 and G32 v1as well as manual NEAT procedures
- Proficient with NAT (Network Acceptance Test) methodology, field test and turn up procedures
- Proficient in fiber OSP, fiber handling, scoping, cleaning, connector types, etc
- Proficient with troubleshooting using fault sectionalization, interpreting OAM parameters (thresholds, alerts, events), optical power balancing (indepth understanding of internal system eOPMs (electronic optical power monitors)
- Preferred experience with Frontier Communications Infinera optical network deployments, COEI process and in field infrastructure (installation, cable management)
