Match Staffing is seeking a reliable and hardworking Fire and Water Damage Restoration Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will assist with water, fire, and mold remediation projects to restore homes and businesses impacted by damage.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for helping clients during difficult times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Water Damage Mitigation: Perform water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment.
- Mold Remediation: Remove mold-affected materials, set containment barriers, and sanitize affected areas following IICRC standards.
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration: Clean and deodorize surfaces, salvage belongings, and assist with structural restoration.
- Demolition and Cleanup: Remove damaged materials, dispose of debris, and prepare spaces for reconstruction.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain restoration equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums, and moisture meters.
- Documentation: Record project progress, including photos, moisture readings, and work logs, using company software or forms.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients to explain processes, provide updates, and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restoration or construction is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work in challenging environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and wet conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
