Material Handling Operator

Job Description

Matco Industries Inc. is growing again at our Live Oak, Florida terminal. We are looking for the right person to fill an open position in our loading department. This position is responsible for unloading rail cars with a belt conveyor. You will also be required to drive a semi truck to a nearby drop yard (on-site, CDL not required) and then drop loaded trailer and bring back a empty trailer for reloading. Duties will include the safe operation of a semi truck, belt conveyor and other equipment operation as well as general labor. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate a semi truck

Learn and follow safety regulations.

Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.

Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent

Must be physically able to safely preform the job.

Must have reliable transportation

Must not be afraid of heights

General mechanical ability preferred

Work environment is outdoors
