Join Matco Tools, a leading distributor of professional automotive equipment, tools, and toolboxes. We are seeking a skilled Collections Professional to establish payment solutions for past-due credit accounts via outbound and inbound customer call interactions. As a key member of our team, you will work on weekdays only, with a guaranteed $400 monthly performance bonus for the first 3 months. You will be paid every other Friday and earn hourly wages plus targeted commissions up to $10K.
The successful candidate will have at least 6 months of collections experience in a call center environment and possess strong negotiation and account management skills. They must also have a high sense of integrity and be able to work independently with minimal direction. This role requires a hybrid schedule, with Tuesdays through Thursdays on-site at our headquarters in Stow, OH, and Mondays and Fridays from home.
As a Collections Professional at Matco Tools, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving outbound calls and/or receiving inbound customer calls surrounding commercial past-due credit accounts via a dialer system.
- Utilizing effective verbal and/or written communications and influencing skills to determine reasons for delinquency and to advise of proper payment arrangements.
- Properly documenting collection actions and status of account.
- Processing electronic debit, credit, and check payments over the phone.
- Maintaining professional interaction with all Matco Tools personnel and customers at all times.
