What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Representative I position at Matco Tools?
CANDIDATES FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY MUST BE IN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO STOW, OHIO
Schedule: Tues, Wed & Thursday on-site at Stow, Ohio & Monday and Friday's Hybrid
You will be responsible for servicing customers and franchisees in a call center environment. You will communicate with customers on financial matters. In addition, you will input data to determine if a request for credit can be granted. You will interface with other team members or functional areas to assist customers with solving outstanding issues or problems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Receive inbound calls to input data necessary to establish a line of credit or determine that credit cannot be extended
- Maintain professional interaction with all Matco Tools personnel, distributors, and customers at all times
- Build and maintain solid relationships with the above mentioned
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude while meeting productivity and quality goals
- Remain flexible and adaptable to changes in processes and work shifts
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. required
- One year of experience in a call center based environment preferred
- Must be able and willing to work 9:00am-5:30pm ET shift Monday through Friday
- Required to work on-site at Matco headquarters every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Ability to work remotely on Monday and Friday
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction and work well in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment which requires flexibility, especially around processes
- A well-developed sense of urgency and follow-through
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively via mail, email, and phone by utilizing proper grammar and phrasing
