JOB DESCRIPTION – RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Production Scheduler, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Planning and preparing production schedules for manufacture of our products.
- Drawing up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer needs.
- Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performing mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements.
- Planning and scheduling work flow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Planning sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
- Conferring with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Expediting operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Preparing production reports.
- Preparing lists of required materials, tools and equipment.
- Sending releases and forecasts to suppliers to obtain production material in a timely manner
- Managing raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory in accordance to company goals
- Performing cycle counts as necessary to ensure that production requirements can be met and maintain inventory accuracy
- Expediting material as needed when unexpected demand increases occur
- Learn, obey and practice the health and safety policies of the company.
- Practice good housekeeping.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or experience
- High school diploma or general education degree; or three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, etc.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
