Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, with a strong focus on forklifts. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of various material handling systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in different locations. All technicians are allowed to drive their service vehicle home.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Scheduled Maintenance:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment, with a strong emphasis on forklifts
- Inspect and service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical components.
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose:
- Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting the performance of various material handling equipment.
- Implement corrective actions to address identified problems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacement.
- Provide detailed reports on the condition of each piece of equipment and recommended actions for improvements.
- Parts Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies within the service vehicle.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections on equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in most of the above responsibilities.
- Familiarity with various material handling equipment models and their components.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of I/C and electric material handling equipment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing simple mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and other team members.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in diverse environments.
- Physical Fitness:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to different locations as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
