Job Description:
The Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing and/or test activities, including: machining parts, assembling parts to specifications using hand and power tools, inspecting finished product to ensure it meets dimensional requirements and part function, preparing test articles and conducting tests, performing incoming material inspection, detailed record keeping of parts, assembly operations, inspection results, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience working with hand and power tools and analytical instrumentation
- Hands-on experience with machining operations and equipment
- Knowledge and experience with test methods and equipment
- Experience in assembly of mechanical components or devices
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Able to act independently and balance competing priorities
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, policies, and work practices
- Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills and attention to detail
