Reporting to the Director of Global Corporate Communications, the Corporate Communications Specialist will collaborate closely with the Global Communications team, business leaders and global cross-functional teams to help bring global internal and external communications to life to support and accelerate the Materion business strategy.
With an emphasis on internal communications tools and content delivery, you will bring strong written and oral communications skills with meticulous attention to detail, a broad understanding of social media with experience in writing for electronic delivery channels, a fundamental understanding of SEO and some media relations experience. You will have an eye for visual media, the ability to work well under pressure, think strategically and meet deadlines.
You will have an opportunity to:
- Maintain core communications channels including employee announcement publishing, general inboxes, Materion Matters stories, corporate social media channels, safety communications, and other items as needed by functional leaders throughout the company.
- Manage regular content updates on both Materion Matters and Materion.com that are required by businesses/functions on an ongoing basis with an eye for SEO maximization where appropriate.
- Facilitate the execution of intra- and internet strategy in terms of modifying, adjusting and rebuilding content, or constructing new platforms for audience experience optimization.
- Observe and monitor metrics of communications strategies and tactics as appropriate to inform the direction of and continued level of investment in current approaches.
- Build and maintain communications photo, digital and video assets in an easy-to-use format.
- Help build plant-level communications tools in partnership with BU communicators.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
