Paint Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Matheny Fire & Emergency is seeking a Paint Technician for our Ocala, Florida location. The Paint Technician is responsible for painting heavy-duty vehicles following all established standards and procedures. They deliver the highest quality paint jobs while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The painter must produce quality results on time or earlier.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Paint heavy-duty vehicles according to assigned tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles during the painting process
• Ensure that required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards
• Keep work areas clean and ensure proper storage of equipment, tools, and supplies
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred
• Two years of relevant experience in heavy truck collision painting strongly preferred
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to paint both manually and using spray guns
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and time management to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Highly professional and dependable
• Quality-conscious and detail-oriented

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
