About this opportunity:
This key leadership position drives quality and consistency of the center experience. You will use your talents to manage the education experience during instructional hours, including coaching and training a team of instructors, and ensuring students are provided with effective math instruction that makes sense to them.
- Build rapport with parents and effectively convey the benefits of Mathnasium and our commitment to help their students be successful in math, resulting in student enrollment and retention.
- Help lead a team of Instructors to deliver instruction that aligns with Mathnasium methodology and create a fun, welcoming environment.
- Participate in local marketing events, fostering collaborative relationships with local schools and organizations.
- Responsible for assuming the Center Director’s duties in his/her absence.
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 1 year of related experience (sales, marketing and/or education), with a strong focus on building relationships.
- Proven excellent problem-solving and communication skills including tact and diplomacy.
- Collaborative leadership skills: ability to train and engage staff as well as delegate responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Have a love for math and contagious enthusiasm for working with children!
Initial compensation for this part-time position is $19 hourly, and has the potential to grow into a full-time position with benefits. We are opening a neighboring center in D.C. in 2020, so there is significant upside potential going forward, both in compensation and scope of responsibilities.
The typical hours will be in the range of 1:30pm - 8:00pm Monday through Thursday, with some weekend hours as well.
