Position Opportunity :
Matica Biotechnology is a fast-paced contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that specializes in developing and manufacturing gene therapies for rare genetic diseases.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead the company’s Facilities and Engineering Team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Validation and Asset Management program and manage the Automation and Facilities support departments. The care of the Development and GMP Facilities at two locations inclusive of all asset management activities are within the scope of the person’s role. This position will work cross-functionally with leaders, including in operations, and reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), or designee.
How you will make an impact :
- Ensure that there are an adequate number of staff to perform their required job responsibilities and that they are trained prior to performing them.
- Track and ensure our facility’s compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and act as the main contact for compliance-related questions and communications concerning both facilities.
- Hire, lead, develop, and empower a diverse and inclusive facilities engineering team.
- Provide guidance to the facilities team and ensure the successful establishment, development, and management of : Employee and building safety procedures in partnership with people operations and safety committee, Maintenance programs and service vendors for equipment and systems (waste management, janitorial, building systems, pest control security), Procurement, installation, and maintenance of equipment for shared space.
- Act as the liaison with other tenants concerning the facilities. Be the main contact for building operations, including site emergencies, property management and building security, access control and safety and loss prevention.
- Foster partnership between facility operation team and other departments and encourage effective communication and consultation.
- Perform other duties as assigned and / or required, including corporate-level operational tasks.
- Support inspection / audit activities by providing tours, responding to audit requests and / or observations.
- Oversee the Validation, Automation and Asset Management program.
