Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Supervisor to oversee event operations and ensure seamless execution of both private and community events at our venue. This role serves as the primary point of contact during events, supervising event staff and bartenders while maintaining excellent client relations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage a team effectively in alignment with venue leadership standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate event staff, including bartenders and general event personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients during events, addressing any questions, concerns, or last-minute adjustments with professionalism and poise.
- Ensure event setup and breakdown are executed according to client specifications and venue standards.
- Communicate with vendors, caterers, and other event professionals to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor event flow, ensuring timely execution of schedules, maintaining guest satisfaction, and troubleshooting any issues as they arise.
- Uphold venue policies and procedures, including safety regulations and service standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Work closely with venue leadership to maintain high-quality service and uphold the venue’s reputation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event supervision, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing event dynamics.
- Understanding of event logistics, food and beverage service, and venue operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
