Location: Alpharetta, GA
Compensation: $70 - $73/Hour W2 $80/Hour C2C
We are seeking a talented and experienced Java/AWS Developer to join a dynamic team responsible for the development and enhancement of the Benefits module within a National Accounts platform. This module connects customers' employees to various insurance providers (e.g., BCBS, Kaiser) and integrates with HR and payroll systems to streamline benefits enrollment, payroll deductions, and premium payments.
As a Java/AWS Developer, you will work on both the front-end and back-end components of the application. The front-end utilizes JavaScript and related frameworks such as Stencil and TypeScript, while the back-end relies heavily on Java, AWS, and microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end components using Java and AWS to support the Benefits module, ensuring seamless integration with customer financial and payroll systems.
- System Diagnostics: Analyze and troubleshoot existing code in a production environment, identifying performance bottlenecks and other issues, and implementing effective solutions.
- Microservices & Containers: Work with microservices architecture and containerization to enhance system scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Integration Development: Develop and enhance the integrations between the platform and various insurance carriers, ensuring that insurance policies, deductions, and premium payments are processed accurately.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that address gaps and enhance system functionality.
- New Development: Focus on new development efforts, particularly in adding innovations and missing functionalities to carrier integrations, including data display and policy management.
Required Skills:
- Java: Strong proficiency in Java, particularly in legacy systems, with experience in microservices and container-based environments.
- AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS, and a solid understanding of cloud-based architecture and scalability.
- Front-End Development: Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Stencil and TypeScript.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues in a production environment, identify performance problems, and apply diagnostic techniques to develop effective solutions.
- Profiling & Performance Optimization: Experience in profiling code to identify bottlenecks and performance issues, along with implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with carrier integrations (e.g., BCBS, Kaiser) and benefits administration systems.
- Familiarity with building libraries and reusable code components.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly in legacy systems and large-scale applications.
Salary : $70 - $80
