Job Purpose
The Electronics Manufacturing Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient manufacturing processes for Matric Limited. This role requires strong technical skills, hands-on experience, and effective communication to ensure seamless production of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with assemblers, supervisors, and engineers to optimize production processes and testing protocols for surface mount and through hole PCB assembly, cable assembly, and box build assembly.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing procedures to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality system requirements.
- Support the RFQ process by estimating labor times, identifying equipment or tooling needs, and developing assembly jigs and fixtures.
- Conduct research to specify, select, and justify manufacturing equipment that enhances productivity and reduces costs.
- Improve manufacturability of new and existing products through thorough reviews and implementation of Engineering Changes.
- Design and recommend manufacturing layouts for safe and efficient production, adhering to industry and quality standards.
- Maintain close monitoring of product quality and conformance to requirements during manufacturing.
- Promote a safe and productive working environment, encouraging collaboration among all staff members to achieve individual, departmental, and corporate objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- Proficiency in using computers and software applications related to manufacturing and quality control.
