Premier Medical Resources is looking for a IT Technical Support Associate to join our team!
The IT Technical Support Associate is responsible for providing basic technical assistance, diagnosis, and IT analysis regarding computer systems under direct supervision of the IT Manager. This role provides general support to end users on software, applications, security, telephone systems, and network issues. Assists in completing general tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to computers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- First point of contact for clients’ service requests. Supports incidents both by phone and inbound emails.
- Manages help desk tickets, validate, document, and escalate, when necessary, by categorizing, prioritizing, and determining assignment.
- Assists in maintaining database of desktop services issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of desktop services and systems and makes recommendations for improvements to increase productivity and address workflow issues.
- Meets with users to determine software, application, or systems’ need and research solutions to provides users with appropriate recommendations to address their needs.
- Installs and upgrades standard software applications.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment and software inventory.
- Maintains files and documentation for various software installations.
- Assists with installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
- Assists with general networking/cabling setup for new practices/branches.
- Provides professional and friendly support, in person and via telephone, email and remote-control software.
- Provides the highest level of client satisfaction, ensures requests and issues are resolved and meet client expectations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. • Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
- Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Ability to adapt with flexibility: being open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Windows client operating systems (7, 8, 10 and 11), networking and hardware troubleshooting
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with MS Windows environment
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
