About the Role
The Facilities & Maintenance Clerk II supports the needs of the facilities and maintenance (F&M) shop areas in Honolulu, Hilo, Kawaihae, Kahului, and Nawiliwili with timely purchase of parts and restocking of inventory. Orders, receives, and disburses materials as required by the repair shops and coordinates deliveries to the Neighbor Islands and repairs done on the mainland.
What you’ll do:
- Order required parts to support all F&M shops inclusive of Neighbor Islands. Receipt of parts are accurately input and maintained in the F&M database operating systems. Monitor individual parts and miscellaneous materials daily to determine inventory levels and replacement needs that are issued daily.
- Communicate with various suppliers for purchasing of inventory and "consumable" part/materials. Contact vendors to initiate orders and to obtain delivery schedules.
- Stock parts and supplies to maintain accurate inventory to shelves and consolidations of Neighbor Island orders. Safely operate forklift in receiving and moving vendor deliveries.
- Responsible for good housekeeping to ensure that the storeroom and office areas remain orderly, clean, safe, and efficient.
- Annual physical inventory in October requires organizing, processing pre-counting items, isolating non-count items, and actual count of all inventory. Requires ongoing preparation throughout the year with periodic checks.
In addition to those essential job functions identified above, individuals in this position are also responsible for performing other duties or tasks that may be assigned. The Company retains the discretion to add to or change the essential job functions of this position at any time.

- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Sitting up to 50 minutes per hour.
- Walking up to 30 minutes per hour.
- Standing up to 30 minutes per hour.
- Shift work, exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time, noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
