Description
The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing and National Account Team on material needs. This position is a vital part of the organization’s inventory process, working with vendors and internal customers to ensure materials are procured timely to meet installation deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor procurement and back order report(s) daily.
- Create and send purchase orders to vendors for direct buy items; monitor and manage orders until received.
- Receive inventory using the ERP system and process AP invoices timely, ensuring prompt payment to our vendor partners.
- Review and resolve receipt to invoicing discrepancies ensuring accurate inventory.
- Continually review national account parts for the specified program, forecasting future demand based on the customers installation schedule.
- Work with other departments to audit, support process improvement initiatives and/or item cleanup as needed.
- Other duties and ad hoc analysis/reporting as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management
- Intermediate Excel skills
- NetSuite software and international purchasing experience a plus
