Warehouse Associate

Description

The Warehouse Associate performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s entry floor matting systems. They need to pay close attention to all of the order details.  They will also perform an array of duties such as receiving incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, and packing and shipping orders.  This person must be flexible and willing to work in other departments as needed.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:  Other duties may be assigned. 

• Perform production duties including manual lifting, measuring, cutting, and packaging of carpet matting and other floor covering materials. 

• Take delivery of product and put away as it is received into the warehouse 

• Maintain clean work area and ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition.    

• Follow prescribed safety regulations. 

• Organize rolls in bins, and notate any location changes. 

• Ability to pass and maintain forklift certification. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced knowledge of and experience using a tape measure 

• Excellent mathematical skills 

• Detail and action oriented 

• Razor-knife cutting experience 

• Reliable; have responsible work habits 

• Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually 

• Customer oriented. 

• Able to maintain the production pace of other team members 

EXPERIENCE 

• Previous cutting and packing experience preferred 

• Forklift experience a plus 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

• Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs 

• Standing and Kneeling (expected to be more than 60% daily) 

• Frequent pushing and pulling.
