CNC Programmer
A company in Grayslake, IL is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer/Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for developing and programming CNC machine operations for a variety of die cast and plastic injection molding tools, as well as engineering samples and prototype parts.
Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer
- Develop CNC programs for die cast and plastic injection molding tools, engineering samples, and prototype parts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) techniques, improving part machinability, reducing cycle times, and increasing output.
- Design and program CNC fixtures, including jaws, fixturing, sanding fixtures, and assembly fixtures for die cast, aluminum, and plastic components.
- Program, set up, and run complex CNC parts while ensuring compliance with tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot programming issues, adjusting parameters as needed to resolve deviations and machining errors.
- Work with die cast tooling and plastic injection molding processes, collaborating with engineers to address design considerations, potential challenges, and necessary modifications.
- Familiarity with Haas, DMG Mori mills and lathes is a plus.
- Work with a variety of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and plastics.
Requirements of the CNC Programmer
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Proficiency in MasterCam and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine operations, including multi-axis machining and machining techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to die casting and plastic injection molding.
- Excellent ability to interpret blueprints and work with precision measurement tools.

Pay is $37.00 - $40.00 an hour, based on experience
