Machine Shop Specialist
The Machine Shop Specialist will support machining operations by assisting with quoting, order entry, and production scheduling. They will help ensure quality inspections, troubleshoot production issues, and recommend process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in metals manufacturing, machining, and precision measurement, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Requirements of the Machine Shop Specialist
- Over 5 years of experience in metals manufacturing or machining environments
- Proficiency in using and programming manual, semi-automated, or automated machinery (CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, etc.)
- Expertise in using precision tools (e.g., CMM, Micrometers) for accurate measurements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP software
- Preferred: Experience with CAM software and G Code
Responsibilities of the Machine Shop Specialist
- Help generate and follow up on quotes and projects through the ERP system
- Verify purchase order accuracy and assist in converting quotes into orders, ensuring a smooth transition to order fulfillment.
- Support the identification of new business opportunities by reviewing customer specifications and drawings to assess project potential.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Assist with inspections to ensure finished parts meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and provide on-site problem-solving support to address production issues.
- Provide material and application expertise to support the industries served by our customers.
- Manage machine coding, operations, and quality checks.
- Assist with equipment preventative maintenance and coordinate machining repairs with external vendors.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience
