Job Description - Youth Development Coach:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated early-childhood education professional for our kindergarten and first grade classroom. As part of our dynamic After-School program, you will engage students in fun, educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in a safe and nurturing environment. This position is part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise our youngest students in after-school activities, including arts and crafts, games, reading, and group projects.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with homework and provide academic support as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space.
- Provide supervision and complete attendance documentation during child transportation.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff to ensure a successful After-School experience.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience in teaching kindergarten or preschool is highly preferred.
- Passion for working with young children and a genuine commitment to their growth and well-being.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A high school diploma is required to apply.
- Candidate will be required to complete DCF trainings and CPR/FA once hired.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
Benefits:
- Pay ranges between $19.00-$22.00 per hour, based on qualifications.
- Hours are Monday-Friday, 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
