Job Summary:
The Warehouse Floor Supervisor ensures the shift is productive, accurate and safe. They are responsible for planning, assigning, and assisting with workflow direction and accuracy. The Warehouse Floor Supervisor should be on the floor monitoring the traffic flow and proactively handing off the next work order. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to maintain high standards in inventory management and team performance. The Warehouse Floor Supervisor will focus on monitoring warehouse efficiency and maintaining accurate inventory while implementing First Expired, First Out (FEFO) stock rotation practices. Provide guidance and direction to the workforce in their area. Lead according to organizations’ policies and applicable laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure the workforce is productive and uses their time efficiently.
· Ensure that the crew is working safely and not causing any property damage.
· Monitor employee performance.
o Set performance expectations for warehouse staff and monitor individual and team performance.
o Provide regular feedback, coaching, and recognition to maintain a motivated and productive workforce.
· Assist the Warehouse Director on maintaining Monthly Audit documentation.
· Manage team members’ breaks and lunch times to ensure constant workflow on the floor.
· Proactively previewing documents and explaining the uniqueness to the employee when assigning it to them. (Receiving lots, possible mixed pallets, outbound load order or any special instructions.)
· Reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
· Assist team members with any issues that may arise throughout the day.
· Partner with Inventory when there are discrepancies to ensure the customer’s order is received correctly.
· Overseeing CLPs500 & CLPs900 locations
· Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
· Coverage for Shift Supervisor when off or in meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Create and print inventory control tags for pickers/labelers.
· Cover Sunday schedule when needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in Datex warehouse system
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Complete understanding of accurate inventory keeping
- Excellent Communication skills – good reading, writing and oral skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service skills
- The ability to operate all equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Education
· 2 to 5 years of experience leading others
· Valid Driver’s License
· Forklift & Pallet Jack Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
