A prestigious law firm, is seeking a skilled Financial Systems Analyst to join their Finance team. This critical role serves as a bridge between our finance and technology departments, focusing on the intersection where these two areas meet. The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for planning, maintaining, and supporting financial systems, including Aderant, and managing the architecture, support, and maintenance of the workflow and database environments. This position is essential for troubleshooting technical issues, resolving financial system-related service requests, and syncing data between various financial and enterprise systems. Successful candidates must have relevant project management and implementation/system upgrade experience.
This position reports to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee projects related to financial system enhancements, implement improvements, and ensuring successful execution of system updates and customizations.
- Provide ongoing support, data, and reporting for Aderant financial systems, leveraging expertise in technical architecture, data tables, report writing, SQL, and various Aderant modules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for finance representatives, administrative staff, internal stakeholders, and external vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to financial applications and integrated systems.
- Design, develop, and manage reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to support business operations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to provide database support for financial applications.
- Generate and deliver data and reports to Finance and other departments using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Aderant, and Excel.
- Support Business Intelligence tools and develop custom reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting legal software platforms (e.g., Aderant, Elite 3E, Handshake, Intapp Open, Intapp Wallbuilder, viDesktop, Chrome River, Sage Fixed Assets).
- Experience with workflow engines such as SharePoint Online or Intapp Integrate.
- Proficiency in VB.NET, SQL, PowerShell, LDAP, XML, HTML, and Microsoft Office development tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex problems creatively.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
