I. Purpose
Manages all outbound logistics and provides backup support for inbound logistics. Adheres to strict deadlines to meet our customer needs. They will specialize in outbound shipping & logistics, accounts receivable (invoicing) and chargebacks.
II. Duties
- Receipt, download and review of Purchase Orders (PO) for accuracy from Customers and entry into NetSuite. Works with Sales Team on PO receipt and communication of any adjustments that need to be made.
- Creates and sends ship grids and shipping paperwork for all outbound shipments (ex. Bills of Lading, packing lists, pallet labels, carton labels) to contract packing facilities.
- Works with production and warehouse manager to schedule outbound shipments.
- Use of Kuebix integrated software to find most cost-effective option for each program and set up prepaid (PPD) shipments.
- Route outbound and customer shipments using approved carriers utilizing small package, less-than-truckload, truckload, ocean containers and airfreight.
- Manages NetSuite, SPS Commerce, and various retailer PO transmission systems to confirm receipt of PO’s, route PO’s, submit ASN’s, and invoice customers.
- Submits customer chargebacks and supporting documentation.
- Performs outbound transportation cost analysis on PPD items by season. Updates sales team with actual freight spent by item.
- Provides inbound logistics support as needed.
- Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food Safety standards and ensures all product produced meets assigned quality standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
III. Knowledge
1.Requirements
· The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, vendors, brokers and customers to determine logistics details and actions required to make specific judgments.
· Ability to lead and manage projects.
· Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and time management aptitude
· Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) for interaction with customers, vendors, legal consultants and co-workers.
· Goal oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines related to detailed and complex situations.
· Strong computer skills, with proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
· Strong positive attitude that resonates throughout the company
· Strong time management experience for wholesale/manufacturing
· Excellent math skills
· Able to travel as required in performance of job.

V. Responsibility
Responsible for efficient and effective logistics and all related aspects as detailed above.
VI. Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to move about the facility, communicate with contacts, and travel as needed. Must be able to operate office equipment and carry heavy boxes.
