Job Summary
Maui Electricians is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from start to completion. This hybrid role allows you to work from home while being available for site walk-throughs, client meetings, and other project-related activities in Maui. The Project Manager will ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has substantial experience in electrical project management, strong leadership abilities, and expertise in electrical systems, as well as proficiency in project management tools like Asana and Simpro.
Responsibilities
- Oversee awarded electrical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Attend site walk-throughs and client meetings, maintaining a strong local presence to ensure smooth project progress.
- Schedule manpower and allocate resources to meet project milestones efficiently.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Manage procurement and materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
- Handle the permit process to ensure all projects meet local building codes and regulations.
- Use Asana and Simpro to track project progress, maintain schedules, and update documentation.
- Monitor project budgets and control costs to prevent overruns while maintaining efficiency.
- Address and resolve issues or conflicts promptly to minimize project delays.
- Oversee project closeout, ensuring all work is completed, and documentation is finalized.
- Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience managing electrical projects, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
- Expertise in scheduling and managing manpower for electrical projects.
- Experience in procurement and managing material orders for project needs.
- Familiarity with pulling permits and ensuring compliance with building codes.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Asana and Simpro, or similar systems with the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team engagement.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
- Must be based in Maui and available for site visits and client meetings as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience in the electrical contracting industry or a similar technical field.
- Familiarity with Hawaii's local building codes and regulations.
