Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting our financial management processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Support the financial management team with accounting transactions and related documentation.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient record keeping and reporting.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role in financial services.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Great Plains; familiarity with other platforms is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Strong written communication skills for effective financial report writing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Work proficiently in Excel, word and other Microsoft software.
