Essential Functions
- Maximize profit and insure quality of service for Seascape Restaurant, and Special Functions.
- Create and maintain a progressive working culture based on sound motivational business practices that produce a proactive self-directed workforce.
- Work with the Director of F&B, Executive Chef, and kitchen staff to maintain the highest levels of food quality standards and presentations.
- Insure high cleanliness standards are maintained in all areas including kitchen, dining areas, surrounding areas of outlet, storage areas and restrooms.
- Create a working culture that embodies the overall mission of the Maui Ocean Center and enables Seascape Restaurant staff to exemplify these core values.
- Assist F&B Director in creating action plans to address any anticipated deficiencies in sales, profit, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, facility or equipment.
- Work with the sales team and perspective groups in promoting special functions in a creative and accommodating way, ensuring quality of service and maximization of profit.
- Insure all security measures are in place, periodically reviewed, and updated in constant vigilance against misappropriation.
- Assist in creating and maintaining fun and creative incentive plans (approved by F&B Director) to motive Seascape Restaurant staff to increase sales and quality of customer’s experience.
- Be directly involved with managing food cost and inventories.
- Assist Director of F&B in creating a culture of continuous improvement, setting the pace of new and interesting Seascape Restaurant promotions here in Maui.
- Others duties designated by The Director of F&B.
- Must be able to move at a quick pace and stand for periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work Holidays, Weekends, and Evenings.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a restaurant supervisory/management role.
- Problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skill.
- Demonstrated flexibility and composure in fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven and directed; ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy.
