Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills through play and structured activities in a private Christian School enviroment.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and exploration among children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Strong caregiving skills, including experience in infant care, toddler care, and preschool aged children.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that align with developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Six months experience is a licensed or registered childcare facility.
