POSITION AVAILABLE: First-Shift General Maintenance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid driver’s license.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. At least five years of experience in maintenance or related work.
4. Ability to work assigned hours (1st or 2nd shift). Dress in uniform.
5. Demonstrate general knowledge regarding electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, building structure, asbestos, etc. by demonstrating proficiency on a district-adopted skills assessment metric. The Supervisor of Facilities will administer the assessment, evaluate the results, and determine the proficiency qualifying standard.
6. Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not limited to the ability to remain standing for extended periods, ability to climb stairs, ability to properly lift bulk weight of 75 lbs. on a regular basis as well as bend and move in confined and/or elevated spaces.
7. Exhibits integrity, responsibility, reliability, and a good attendance record.
8. Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community.
9. Possess a tolerant and pleasant personality under sometimes demanding work situations.
COMPENSATION: Wages and fringe benefits are based on the collective bargaining agreement.
