Print Lead Assistant - 1st Shift

Job Description

Printing Daily Task

• Enter daily production in Excel and Shoplogix.
• Schedule machines for future production also set out plates for production.
• Manage obsolete plates and replace them with new plates, creating plate sleeves.
• Check production sequence for issues in production and quantity; notify personnel with explanations.
• Inventory management and ordering.
• Inventory: UV ink
• Inventory: Blankets
• Inventory: 50-S
• Inventory: Tower solvent
• Inventory: Parts of the machine, belts, and rollers
• Manage inventory of employees' needs such as special gloves and tools.
• Maintain offset printers, stackers, stretch wrapper and strapping machine.
• Keep track of personnel vacation or personal days for scheduling replacements.
• Schedule and send out form rollers for Refurbishment/Rebuilding.
• Run a backlog every day and have a meeting with personnel.
• Consult, advise and recommend artwork (if needed).
• Catalog a list of printing jobs, create plate numbers, print codes, log description and colors.
• Start, stop equipment, handle changeovers and set up jobs.
• Shut down power to machines and computers for off- time or plant shutdowns.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed at the end of the day and distribute it to the right locations.
• Perform minor repairs (when maintenance isn’t needed).
• Perform Toolbox Talk meetings for Print.
• Maintain Feeder Robot.
• Create new rollers.
• Create new Robot Cups.
  
  

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Troubleshoot problems and report issues
• Must work well in a team environment
