Position Summary:
The Repair technician is responsible for repairing any issues on fiberglass hulls and decks, and small parts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs for final gel coat application and match new finish to existing gel coat.
- Spray gel coat, wet sand, and buff to match new finish.
- Spray nonskid gel coat.
- Repair nonskid gel coat (sand and diamond pattern).
- Must be able to follow all safety rules and hazardous material guidelines.
- Able to follow directions and have attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to always keep work area and nearby area clean.
- All other duties as might be required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with different types of sandpaper grits.
- Experience in gel coat repair and/or auto body repair.
- Some dexterity.
- Ability to work with others.
Physical Demands:
- Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, and twisting continuously throughout the day.
- Being able to stand/walk for up to or if not longer 10 hours each day.
- Have the ability to move heavy objects.
