Reviews patient charts to assure quality standards and processes are occurring in the Agency by helping to establish and enforce the criteria set by federal, state, Agency, and state accreditation standards
Participates in coordination of care by reviewing admission, recertification, discharge information, clinical notes and noting discrepancies/deficiencies of the patient chart.
Assists with planning and implementation of on-going audit reimbursement program in accordance with federal, state, Agency and state accreditation standards, under the supervision of the RN.
Assists with utilization review of all recertifications; reviews services provided.
Audits one complete chart for each field nurse in the QAPI team at least monthly.
Prepares report of audit findings.
