About the Role
We are seeking a Electrical Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for all necessary electrical drawings using SolidWorks Electrical CAD software. This includes using application information and customer requirements to create a complete schematic wiring package and control panel component layout drawings. This position requires a solid understanding of electrical control design principles and working drafting skill with SolidWorks Electrical.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration with Maverick Power sales, applications engineering, and design engineering teams to prepare component layouts, circuit diagrams, and elevation drawings for low voltage and medium voltage power distribution equipment.
- Ability to create and maintain SolidWorks Electrical parts libraries and drawing templates.
- Integration of bills of material from electrical designs with Maverick Power ERP system.
- Work with the Quality department to ensure all drawings are up to required specification.
- Work directly with the manufacturing team to implement any changes, clarify drawings, or other support needed during the manufacturing process.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
Skills:
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Preferred: Minimum one year of experience designing electrical power distribution equipment or control panels with SolidWorks Electrical.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
