Job Summary:
Mavis Tire is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for organizing project teams, managing resources, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate should be dynamic and able to coordinate changing priorities with IT leadership on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Start-up:
- Collaborate with team members to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including a detailed project outline, schedule, budget, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Establish project management processes and communication protocols.
Project Execution and Management:
- Lead and support project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Organize project work, resources, and tasks.
- Track project progress, monitor performance, and provide regular status reports.
- Manage project budgets and control expenses.
- Proactively address and resolve project issues and problems.
- Ensure projects adhere to company standards and best practices.
- Attend meetings, document key discussions, create and update project tasks and deadlines, and collaborate with IT team members to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates, including status, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
Project Wrap-up:
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed, tested, and approved.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices.
- Document project outcomes and facilitate a smooth handover to the relevant operations or support teams.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the improvement of project management methodologies and processes.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and project management trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience managing IT projects, such as software development or systems implementation.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of fundamental IT concepts.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Zoho, Jira).
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
