Position Overview:
The Quality Control Technician will play a key role in inspecting and testing glass products to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and adherence to clean handling practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of glass materials and finished products.
- Use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to verify product specifications.
- Record and report all inspection findings accurately.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all products comply with quality control standards and ITAR regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Process & Equipment Monitoring:
- Identify quality defects and report them to supervisors.
- Work closely with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure inspection tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in quality control or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
- Experience with measurement tools and inspection techniques is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in a clean room environment with strict handling practices.
- Basic computer skills for recording and reporting quality data.
* Experience with ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management system is highly preferred.
ITAR Compliance Requirement:
Due to our work with the Defense Logistics Agency, this position requires compliance with ITAR regulations. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible.
