Control system troubleshooting, commissioning, design and programming of custom solutions based on Customer machine specifications, while working within a project team of electrical and mechanical engineers.Providing technical support and service, remote and onsite for Customer machine installation.Ability to perform work onsite at customer locations.
Technical service experience working at customer sites doing mechanical, electrical, or controls service is required. Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing networked devices in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to travel globally. Majority of travel is domestic, however can be out of country, primarily Americas Preferred experience and knowledge of:

- Work as a team member with other departments (Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations) to design, manufacture, test, install, and support equipment fulfilling customer expectations
- Initiate and participate in design review meetings to encourage constructive design options from co-workers and team members, as well as interdepartmental communication to develop and agree upon a functional machine design and description that fulfills the customer specification
- Take ownership of your project.Project leadership, direct and indirect, is required and critical for project success and customer satisfaction.
- Design electrical panel assemblies
- Work with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure visibility and prioritization of long lead items.Follow up on purchase parts and manufactured parts to expedite completion of the project
- Create documents (schematics and bills of material, programs) for production that fulfill the requirements of customer orders. Follow defined manufacturing and operation standards.Or help to create standards where none exist
- Maintain software, drawing files and reference information on network to ensure revision controls and history is maintained
- Timely completion of assigned tasks.Overtime may be required to meet deadlines and achieve Customer requirements
- Technically support the Customer and team, remotely and onsite, during troubleshooting, commissioning, and customer acceptance process
- Travel requirements; evaluating new and existing applications, commissioning systems at customer sites, post-commissioning troubleshooting, service, and support
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and processes through active involvement
- Manage waste responsibly (utilize proper containers, participate in the recycling programs)
- Promote energy conservation
- Maintain safety compliance for all International, Federal, State and Site-specific service requirements
- Actively support and maintain business objectives and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives
- Web handling equipment design concepts and components
- PLC and HMI design
- Design and creation of schematics
- AutoCAD
- Ability to troubleshoot, design and test electrical, and hydraulic equipment including on-machine power distribution, PLCs, and AC/DC drives
- Knowledge of programming with SyPTPRO, Machine Control Studio, RSLogix Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) Software
- Knowledge of industrial communication standards and network protocols with Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS and PROFINET
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluent in standard Windows based application
- Knowledge of machine safety standards, and their application
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
- Ability to evaluate cost/benefit relationships as they relate to design and customer ROI
- Ability to work in team and individual environments without supervision, self-motivated
- Willingness to provide enthusiasm and creative solutions to meeting our customer needs and achieving the company’s goals
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to customer locations. Travel is based on business demand and a necessity for this role.Most travel is domestic and regionally located, but some is international
- Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment – noise, dust, odors, etc.
- Able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
- The position is in Oklahoma City, OK
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP system is a plus
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experienced candidate with strong background in controls engineering
