General Production Laborer

Job Title: General Laborer - Corrugator Plant

Job Summary:

The General Laborer at a corrugator plant performs a variety of physical tasks to support the operations of the plant. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires manual dexterity, physical strength, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. The General Laborer assists in the production of corrugated materials and ensures that all equipment is maintained and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Ensure materials are properly stored and organized in designated areas.

2. Machine Operation: Assist machine operators in the setup, adjustment, and operation of corrugator machinery. Feed materials into machines, monitor production processes, and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain workflow efficiency.

3. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, such as uneven cuts or poor adhesion. Remove or reject defective items and report any quality issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Keep work areas clean and free of debris, following safety protocols and maintaining a tidy workspace.

5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices. Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications and Skills:

• - High school diploma or equivalent.
• - Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• - Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• - Basic understanding of machinery operations and maintenance.
• - Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues.
• - Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• - Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• - Familiarity with safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• - Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
