What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist II position at Maxco Supply, Inc?
The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for handling various HR-related tasks at a professional level while working closely with the HR Manager.
Key responsibilities include serving as a backup for payroll processing, managing benefits administration, overseeing leaves of absence, implementing policies, facilitating training, ensuring safety and workers' compensation compliance, and adhering to employment laws.
- Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including transitional work and accommodations
- Supports the payroll administrator including, but not limited to, employment changes, leaves of absence, and payroll functions
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when necessary.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal requirements, keeping employees records up to date and accurate.
- Work cooperatively with all staff members and outside sources in a professional manner to deliver a high level of service.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Proactively maintain a positive work environment that supports an open-door policy.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Must have 2 years of Human Resources experience
