What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Bookkeeper position at Maxi Aids Inc?
Maxi Aids Founded in 1986, is a world's leader in providing assistive products to Seniors, as well as those with Vision and hearing impairments, and those with Physical and medical issues. Our customers are the fine professionals in our field, including Federal, State and local Government agencies, as well as Schools and direct sales to the individual.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist in Managing Day to day accounts payable and receivables department using QuickBooks accounting software and other programs
- Monitoring and processing accounts payable and receivables for company divisions
- Reconciles bank statements and credit card statements using online portal's
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Keeping track of late account receivables and making contact for payment
- Record day-to-day financial transactions
- Provide information to the external accountant, and Upper Management as necessary
- Receipt and management of wire transfers
Key Qualifications include the following:
- 2 plus years of Bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Bookkeeping software Quickbooks
- Strong attention to details and excellent organization skills

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
